World most demanding travelres with an eye on Inkaterra

Few rankings attract as much interest as the famous TRAVEL+LEISURE World's Best Awards, the ranking made by travelers from around the world who visit the most luxurious hotels on the planet. And, rarely do we have the honor of having a company in the region among the awarded ones.

A few days ago, the winners of 2019 were announced and our dear friends from Inkaterra won third place in the category 'Best Hotels Brands in the World', a selection of the 25 best known companies in the hospitality industry.

Thus, this Peruvian company founded over 40 years ago by my great friend and Joe Koechlin, comfortably leads the list where Aman; The Peninsula; Raffles; St. Regis; Rocco Forte; Banyan Tree; Mandarin Oriental; Rosewood; Shangri-la; One & Only and Six Senses are among the companies following them.

Knowing its beginnings, its work as a family business, its commitment- not only with the environment, being the pioneer of ecotourism and sustainable development in Peru, but with scientific research, conservationism and the education and welfare of local communities-can only make me share how well deserved is this new recognition for the family of Inkaterra.

We have had the honor of having Joe's presence on the SAHIC stage so many times, this businessman with a dream and a vision, who has shared with us his view and commitment to creating unique experiences for his guests and how it is possible to commit to caring for the environment, preserving biodiversity and local culture, providing a product of international excellence.

From SAHIC we raise the glass for this deserved moment of our supporters and we hope to continue collaborating so that the development of entrepreneurs and projects like these continue to spread in the region for the wellbeing of the entire traveling community.

Chapeau once again dear Joe!
