Sebastian Slobayen - Secretary of Coordination

Currently is the Secretary of Coordination and Tourism Investments in the National Tourism Ministry of Argentina; having performed previously the position of under-secretary of Touristic Investments: responsible for public investment policies development; promotion and incentive to private investments in the tourism sector, and the coordination with multilateral and financial institutions.

Before that was in charge of the Secretary of Institutional Coordination and Planning of the province of Corrientes – Argentina, being the executive chief in charge of the design and execution of the Province Participative Strategic Plan. He represented Corrientes province in various institutional ambits such as regional integration committees; federal councils for public planning and management, academic and public-private articulation spaces.

He worked in different Latin-American countries as consultant in public and private investment development projects; he also acted as consultant for the UNDP and the also for Argentinean Federal Investment Council. In the private sector he carried out managerial and consultancy positions in diverse companies and projects in Argentina as well as abroad (Asian South East and South America), mainly focusing on organizational strategies; investment; marketing and internationalization. He coordinated institutional projects on strategic planning in different universities and faculties.

Economist graduated from the North East National University (Universidad Nacional del Nordeste) and Magister in business administration – MBA – IAE from the Austral University Buenos Aires. He counts with postgraduate studies in Public Policies Management and Control; and in Public Policies and Regional Integration in the Latino American Faculty on Social Sciences (FLACSO) and in the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES BID). He carried out postgraduate studies on Public Policies in Harvard Kennedy School. In the academic field he is professor in the North East National University (Argentina), he was invited as professor in the University of Cuenca del Plata (Argentina), INCCA Bogotá University, (Colombia), Asunción Autonomous University, (Paraguay) and Austral University (Argentina).
