Latin America and the Caribbean: From Promise to Priority on the Global Investment Map
by Arturo Garcia Rosa - President & CEO, SAHIC
We concluded the 20th edition of SAHIC with the clear perception that the hospitality industry in Latin America and the Caribbean has definitively entered a new phase. Under the theme "The New Investment Frontier," we brought together in Rio de Janeiro more than 350 industry leaders, representing 20 countries, in an environment that accurately reflected the sector's current moment: dynamic, challenging, and above all, full of opportunities.
More than a symbolic milestone, this edition consolidated SAHIC as a mature platform, capable of interpreting trends and, at the same time, influencing the direction of the industry. In a global scenario still marked by uncertainties, the region demonstrated, once again, its resilience and its capacity to attract capital, projects, and innovation.
Over these two days, we discussed in depth topics that no longer belong to the future—but to the present of hospitality. Among them, the advancement of hybrid investment models, with emphasis on the chapter dedicated to branded residences, which highlighted the level of sophistication that the Latin American market has been achieving. The integration between hospitality, real estate, and experience has ceased to be an emerging trend and has become a structuring axis for new projects in the region.
It also became evident that the role of Latin America and the Caribbean in the global scenario has evolved. It is no longer a market of potential, but a strategic geography for investors seeking assets with solid fundamentals, consistent demand, and long-term prospects.
SAHIC thus remains true to its essence: connecting capital with opportunities. And, more than that, creating a space where visions meet, relationships are strengthened, and decisions take shape.
If there is one thing this edition confirms for us, it is that we are only at the beginning of a new cycle. And it will be built, increasingly, from our region.
Now, the question that naturally arises is: where do we go from here?
What will be the next destination capable of reflecting this new moment in the industry — and of bringing together, once again, the opportunities that will define the future of hospitality in Latin America and the Caribbean?
